Principe Real – The coolest neighbourhood in town

At the top of one of the city’s seven hills, the São Roque hill to be precise, lies the trendiest district in Lisbon. The most beautiful aristocratic old buildings, immaculately maintained, several gardens each with its buzzing kiosks, stylish signature shops and trendy restaurants. It is definitely the place to see and to be seen!

On the main square, the one the area is named after, you have several markets taking place throughout the week: either you can find vintage treasures in the antique fair, handicrafts made by talented locals, or organic fruits and vegetables brought by farmers from all over the country who come to sell their high quality products.

Many young entrepreneurs chose to settle here as the area was still not invaded by all the mainstream brands: the result is a blend of several cuisine styles from all around the world, from concept hamburgers to peruvian ceviche, you can find it all!

For unique souvenirs you have portuguese brands showcasing their proud makings in gallery-like concept stores. Not to be missed.
